After the Boston Marathon bombings, you probably wanted to do something, anything to help the victims. Fortunately, this Saturday, you can, simply by doing what you do, enjoying some tasty drinks and food from your favorite local bars and restaurants. Publicist Bradley Tuck, motivated by his need to help those impacted by the attack, got the ball rolling and asked local businesses to band together in an ambitious fundraising initiative.
Thanks to his hard work, the following participating eateries and bars will be directly donating portions of their sales of special cocktails and food items to Boston’s One Fund charity, which was set up by Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick and Boston mayor Tom Menino. One Fund has already raised over $23M for people who were injured from the bombings.
Here’s where you can drink for a good cause this Saturday the 27th. Notice that a lot of places are offering Boston-inspired cocktails, including the Ward Eight. Aww.
There are also lots of restaurants involved like Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air and Short Cake at the Farmers Market. For the full list of participants, check LAdrinks2Boston’s Facebook page or this handy-dandy Google map.
