Angelenos have traded their cupcake and fro-yo addictions for something wayy healthier: cold-pressed juices. More and more juice bars are popping up around town — Pressed Juicery, Blueprint, Kreation, Moon Juice. Even new guy** Clover Juice, who just opened up its first location in January, already launched yet another one in Mid-City West on Third Street next to The Churchill.**
The Churchill restaurant has just ended its breakfast and lunch service today and will now open at 3pm instead (brunch is still available on the weekend though) but folks can pick up food to go at the Clover Juice window and take it over to the Churchill patio to enjoy.
In celebration of this new healthy partnership, The Churchill’s chef Bruce Kalman is giving new meaning to “going on an all-juice diet” with his special juice-paired dinner ($45 a person) where four fresh-market dishes were developed around the Clover juices. “For each course, I paired the food with the juice, not the juice with the food,” he said.
Unfortunately, however, there aren’t any vegetarian or vegan options. Boo for me but yay for you.
