Enjoy Playa’s Beer and a Ball cocktail or special drink deals at the restaurant’s last night tomorrow.
You probably heard by now that after two years restaurant Playa in Mid-City will be hosting its last service tomorrow. Tomorrow! Bill Chait and Chef John Sedlar will close the restaurant and then retool it in the hopes of reopening it all refreshed and new in a few weeks. But tomorrow night, they’re inviting everyone to partake of drink deals and a complimentary celebratory toast. Playa’s full food and cocktail menus will also be available if you want to enjoy a last Baja/Mex-Chinese meal.
Cocktail creator Julian Cox won’t be behind the bar but he’ll make an appearance. As for the drink deals, here’s what you can imbibe on the cheap.
- Anejo Honey Sour $8 — honey, lemon, tequila
- Gold Rush $8 — bourbon, honey, lemon
- Opium Cocktail $8 — tequila, plum wine, champagne, lemon, mandarin essence
- Russian Maid Punch $7 — vodka, lime, mint
