Girl Scout Cookies Dessert Tagalong Torta by Trattoria Neapolis

Every time Girl Scout Cookie season comes around, I like to look up dessert recipes because why not make those cookies even MORE delicious? Last year I made these Thin Mint cupcakes for St. Patty’s Day and they were a huge hit at the office. I still dream about those cupcakes. Turns out Trattoria Neapolis in Pasadena had the same idea with regards to Girl Scout Cookies desserts as they stocked up on some boxes purchased from Girl Scout Troop 14201 from Willard School in Pasadena in order to make two special desserts!

Their Tagalong Torta has a Do-Si-Do cookie crust, peanut butter mousse, dark chocolate ganache, blueberry sorbetto, and Tagalong crumbles. The Samoa Cookie Ice Cream sandwich is two Samoa cookies sandwiching the housemade coconut gelato and added to housemade gelato and cookie plate. Sheer genius!

My only question is, where’s the Thin Mint dessert, huh? Well, apparently Chef Bryant and pastry chef sampled all of the cookies – literally – and chose the ones that they were inspired by to make the desserts. Ah well. If you’re looking for a (boozy) Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies dessert, Short Order at the Farmers Market has the Drunken Girl Scout Cookie Shake with vanilla and chocolate custard, Tempus Fugits creme de menthe, Branca Menta and Thin Mints!
