Is it still summer or is it now fall? With this crazy weather, who can tell? In any case, this weekend is going to be jampacked with lots of yum times for indoors and outdoors. Too bad I’ll be out of town for Portland Cocktail Week! Well, have fun holding down the fort with these LA weekend events!

Brewery Art Walk Fall 2012
Yup, it’s already that time of year again, the second Brewery ArtWalk. Only twice a year does the huge art complex open the doors of all its studios to the public. With over 100 participating resident artists, there will be lots to see (and buy). Make sure to stop by Hollis Bulleit’s studio (yup, THAT Bulleit) where she’ll be selling her pins, jewelry and, yes, her famous headdresses!

LA Magazine’s 2012 Food Event
Argh. This is one of my most favorite L.A. food events and I’m gonna miss it. But don’t YOU miss it. Taking place on the Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu Hills, Los Angeles Magazine’s Food Event 2012 is one of the most beautiful food festivals. This one will showcase the likes of Ludo Lefebvre (LudoBites), Caroline Styne (AOC, Tavern) and bartender Matthew Biancaniello (Hollywood Roosevelt’s Library Bar)
Silverlake Wine Tasting with Piedmont and Mozza
Yup, THAT Mozza will be doing up the food at this Sunday wine tasting which features Piedmont wine, the best from Northern Italian regions. Yes, such a weird event, but that makes it compelling, no? Break out your tux or ball gown, it’s going to be a fancy evening of cut-throat chess tournaments and Russian Standard cocktails, which include Czar’s Commission (vodka, Bonal Gentian Quina, orange bitters) and Deep Blue (chamomile and mint-infused vodka, lemon, champagne). The winner of the whole she-bang scores a caviar prize pack of course.
