LOTS of things going on this weekend, which kinda sucks cuz I have a feeling L.A. isn’t as scared of this Carmaggedon as the last one. In any case, if you weren’t lucky enough to purchase tickets to L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade or the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Festival before they sold out, here are some other LA weekend events. And there are still tickets available to the L.A. Beer Float Showdown 4, too!
Thursday, September 27
2nd Annual Little Tokyo Bar Crawl
Some rare and strange brew can be found at this second annual bar crawl. With seven bars featuring eight brewers and a slew of beer, you’ll be able to find some new favorites in the bunch. Will it be Stone’s green tea IPA aged in red wine barrels at Far Bar? Or Port Brewing’s Mongo Double IPA at the Escondite?
- 6pm. Little Tokyo bars, Los Angeles (map).

Santa Monica Pier Kicks Off New Outdoor Movie Night
The Santa Monica Pier’s movie night, “Front Porch Cinema,” kicks off tonight with The Wizard of Oz. Dress up as your favorite character, specifically a warm one since the pier can get chilly. For four weeks, every Friday the pier will screen a movie outdoors on a 40-foot screen with a digital high-def projection and provide attendees with popcorn and beverages. There will also be music and food carts.

- Tickets: $38-$74.50. 7pm. Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Avenue, Hollywood (map).
