Freakishly Tall People Get a Free Meal at BierBeisl
For the month of July, BierBeisl, the hot Austrian restaurant in Beverly Hills, is offering free meals! The catch, however, is that you have to be taller than its 6’7″ chef Bernard Mairinger. So not fair. The official measuring (without shoes) is done in the restaurant but basically if you have to duck down to enter the restaurant then you have a good chance of getting the free meal of an entree and dessert.

Hollywood Indie Night Market
The Hester Street Fair, a favorite New York summer pastime, comes to L.A. The outdoor event will host a series of festivals and markets through August. The Hollywood Indie Night Market today will highlight 100 West Coast designers and merchants including Glendale’s Horse and Anchor, who make carry-alls made of vintage materials. There will even be a fashion truck cul-de-sac featuring mobile boutiques like Le Fashion Truck. And naturally there will be food trucks like CoolHaus, Gravy Train Poutinerie and Dosa Truck to sate your appetites. Best part? The thirsty can indulge at the cocktail and craft biergarten by Reissco, the folks behind A-Frame and Sunny Spot, who even created a Hester Hollywood party punch for the occasion.

Comedy Show With Fedje Lang at Formosa Cafe
Looking for a good time? Check out comedian Fedje Lang and friends at Formosa Cafe. Fedje also happens to bartend at Tripel in Playa del Rey but tonight is taking over the ol Formosa with her own brand of comedy gold. And if you haven’t yet, now’s your chance to check out the new cocktail program by the lovely Kate Grutman, formerly of Sotto.

Hello Kitty and Friends at Yogurtland Universal CityWalk
Fans of Hello Kitty (me!) and all things kawaii will be squeeing after seeing what awaits them at Yogurtland Universal CityWalk this Tuesday. Once again Sanrio is collaborating with the yogurt chain to put out a special line of Hello Kitty summer goodies like Sanrio-branded biodegradable spoons and cute cups and sell key chains, totes and coin purses. To celebrate the launch, Hello Kitty and her friends will be partying at the CityWalk location and giving away free yogurt!
