Beer and Tequila Pairing With Golden Road Brewing at Las Perlas
Ever wonder which tequila would go perfectly with Golden Road’s El Hefe Anejo, which is aged in tequila barrels? The folks at Las Perlas scoured their tequila reserves and found a perfect complement, the Corrido Reposado, a tequila double-aged in Jack Daniels and Maker’s Mark whiskey barrels. Nommy! Try out this pairing and three others at Saturday’s event where Golden Road brew master Jon Carpenter and Las Perlas tequila expert Raul Yrastorza will be on hand to discuss their pairings. Individual beers and tequilas are $6 while the pairings will be $10 each.

Pour Vous Salon de Champagne Opens
Looks like the folks behind nightlife hot spots La Descarga and Harvard & Stone have hit another one out of the park with new cocktail bar, excuse me, salon de champagne Pour Vous which is on track to open this weekend in the old Forty Deuce spot. But make your reservations (only for parties of eight or more) and as the bar’s Twitter account suggests, arrive early and look sharp to better your chances of getting in. Door is at their complete discretion. With that, good luck getting in! Everyone’s been buzzing about this place for months. They’ve got a kickass bar crew starring Lindsay Nader (Son of a Gun, Harvard & Stone) and Devon Espinosa (Tasting Kitchen, Ink).
- Pour Vous, 5574 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles (map). (323) 960-0301.
