A guest enjoys Chef Meg's unique dish at Moveable Feast in La Descarga.
Back in January, Chef Meg Hall (aka “Made by Meg“) brought her traveling supper club, the Moveable Feast, to East Hollywood hot spot La Descarga where guests were also able to enjoy the cocktails of mixologists Steve Livigni and Pablo Moix. The only thing that would have made the event extra fab was if there was also a cocktail paired with each of Chef Meg’s six appetizers instead of just the one.
Fortunately for Moveable Feast 2 at the Hollywood Roosevelt on March 27, the intrepid chef does just that by working with one of the city’s best mixologists, Matthew Biancaniello, to create a menu where there in fact is a cocktail paired with each of her six dishes.
And at $65 for the evening this is quite a deal considering cocktails at Matt’s bar, the Library Bar in the Roosevelt, usually run $12-$15 each.
Get a load at one of the night’s pairings: Double Scoop Ice Cream — St. Agur ice cream (bottom scoop), white chocolate Stilton ice cream topped with white truffle honey on a squid ink mini cone paired with rhubard-infused Saint Germain with a Meyer lemon air. Yeah, fan-cee stuff.
Considering that Chef Meg’s food is deelish, Matt is a genius bartender and the Roosevelt is a gorgeous, Old Hollywood setting, you’re not going to want to miss this Moveable Feast.
