For the month of December, I decided to give up sweets. That’s right, that means no dessert, no sweet cocktails and no hot chocolate for 31 days. Since this month is notorious for all the holiday treats, it seemed like the perfect time. And I was feeling pretty good about my decision until I heard about ChocolateBox Cafe’s new hot chocolate bar secret menu. Wuuut? No fair! Yes, the Malibu Lumber Yard chocolatier is offering eight unusual flavor combos to warm you up during these chilly days.
Check out this menu:
- Caramello: Caramel and hemp hot chocolate
- Cardamom Mintrada: Cardamom and mint hot chocolate
- Cinnamint: Mint and cinnamon hot chocolate
- Ginger Spice: Ginger and pink pepper hot chocolate
- Her Name Is Earl: Earl Grey and violet hot chocolate
- Orient Espresso: Oriental coffee and espresso hot chocolate
- Spicy Latina: chili pepper and cinnamon hot chocolate
- Violet Beauregard: Violet and bittersweet hot chocolate
So someone please, if you go, let me know how it is. Each cocoa ($3.50-$4) is made with steamed milk and the chocolate shavings. It comes with whipped cream and mini marshmallows if you have a crazy sweet tooth. In any case, report back. Especially if you have that Orient Espresso or Spicy Latina. Else, I’ll just wait til January to try it for myself.
