Sushi Roku, Katana, Boa's $25-$40 Appetite Stimulus Menus

To help stimulate the economy, not only have 100+ dineLA restaurants decided to extend their discount dining, most through the end of February but the Innovative Dining Group — the Sushi Roku restaurants, Boa Steakhouse and Katana — are kicking off their own discount dining days every Sunday to Thursday (for now), starting this Sunday the 8th. Each restaurant will offer “Appetite Stimulus menus” of three-course dinners (Katana will offer four) ranging in price from $25 to $40. Considering these are frou-frou restaurants that’s a deal.

Boa Steakhouse Santa Monica and West Hollywood — $40 a person

Starter choice of:

  • Smoked Salmon and Caviar: potato cake, horseradish creme fraiche
  • Organic Baby Field Greens: seasonal fruit, white balsamic vinaigrette

Entrée choice of:

  • Filet Mignon Medallions: horseradish mashed potatoes, asparagus, bearnaise sauce
  • Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon: arugula & cherry tomatoes

Dessert: Today’s Mousse with Homemade Cookies

Katana — $35 a person

Starter choice of:

  • Chicken Potsticker served with cilantro ponzu sauce
  • Japanese Eggplant Dengaku
  • Albacore Tataki with garlic ponzu and crispy onions

Skewers: Salmon with Pesto, Chicken Meatballs with Teriyaki, Shiitake Mushroom

Entrée choice of:

  • Sushi: Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon, Shrimp, Spicy Tuna & California Roll
  • Spicy Niku Dori: Sliced Beef on Steamed Rice with Spicy Asian BBQ Sauce

Dessert: Chocolate Volcano with Vanilla Ice Cream

Sushi Roku Santa Monica and West Hollywood — $30 a person; Sushi Roku Pasadena — $25 a person

  • Sea – San Ten Mori: Tuna Tataki with Mizore Ponzu, Salmon wrapped with Daikon, Kampachi with Diced Jalapenos & Yuzu Ponzu
  • Land – San Ten Mori: Kobe Tataki with Garlic Ponzu, Chicken Tandori Skewer, Miso Eggplant Dengaku

Entrée choice of:

  • Sushi: Tuna, Yellowtail, Albacore, Shrimp, Spicy Tuna & California Roll
  • Jidori Chicken Teriyaki: Served with Shiitake Mushrooms & Garlic Green Beans

Dessert: Green Tea Mochi Ice Cream Served with Fresh Fruit
