So I started looking around online and couldn’t help but notice the plethora of costumes for women with good figures (read: with a rack and nice abs). Everything seems to be a variation of “sexy,” like the sexy nurse, the sexy Girl Scout, the sexy construction worker. And all these usually involve little-to-no-skirt and lots of cleavage.

So what’s a normal girl like me (read: no rack and a muffin top) supposed to wear and still get noticed? Here’s my ThisNext list of costumes that are both eye-catching and sexy without your having to let it all hang out.

BTW, I’m thinking that Queen of Sparta costume is going to be really popular this year with probably about 300 of them running around at all the Halloween parties. So be warned.

And my suggestion for buying a costume, since it’s still pretty early in the game, is to go to one of the costume stores (Aahs in Santa Monica, Ursula’s, Hollywood Toys & Costumes), try ’em on, find your best fit and then look for it online if you can stand the wait. I’ve seen some pretty good deals online, it’s just a matter of comparison shopping. For example I’ve seen that Queen of Sparta costume go for $49.99 in some places and $41.99 in others. Just keep an eye on that shipping charge though.
