Kick off the end of the summer with a good ol’ fashioned barnburner at yours and my favorite downtown whiskey bar, Seven Grand. Yeee hawww! The crew wants to thank their patrons with this big ol’ party.
Master distiller Fred Booker Noe, great grandson of Jim Beam, will be in the house to school you in the wonderful world of whiskey. Country rock group Wiskey Biscuit will provide the raucous, down-home atmosphere. There will be swag, there will be fun and did I mention the drink specials?
The boys have created a special drink menu just for the occasion ($5 each):
- Lucky 7 Cocktail: Knob Creek bourbon, fresh grapefruit and orange juices and honey syrup, accented with Angostura bitters
- Stone Creek: Knob Creek bourbon with house-made simple syrup and lemon and orange juices, with a kiss of peach
- Whiskey Fizz: Knob Creek bourbon, fresh lemon juice, house-made simple syrup topped with lemon-lime soda
This started out as a semi-private party but now the word is out and everyone and their whiskey-loving mama is invited. It’s sure to be crazy so get there early to avoid the lines. See you there! BTW, bandanas and cowboy hats are completely optional. Heh.
