Labyrinth at the Nuart
Who needs Homer when you’ve got David Bowie as a goblin king and a young Jennifer Connelly in a Muppet-populated fantasy land? Check out the 35mm reissue of this ’80s classic which was created by the eclectic triad of writer Terry Jones (Monty Python), producer George Lucas (Star Wars) and director Jim Henson (The Dark Crystal).

The Museum of Natural Hysteria Scavenger Hunt
For an unusual way to spend your Saturday afternoon, go for a scavenger hunt amid the dinosaurs and lions at The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. The entire museum is yours for the hunt. Sharks and Zunis and penguins! Oh my!

Create:Fixate: Backscatter All-Photography Show
Artsy hipsters, techno beats and fashion, and what’s a party without an avant-garde live photo booth? Enjoy the visual goodies of over 30 visual artists via their art installations, video designs and photographs at this reoccurring art show. Just remember to bring a flask. Those $7 well drinks tend to be a bit unsatisfying. DJs Wolfie and Dream Electric, John Tejada, and KCRW’s Raul Campos keep the scene moving.

White Party 2007 for Heal the Bay
This sounds uber-fancy what with red carpet arrivals, press check-in and the mandatory all-white attire request but it’s all for a good cause: Heal the Bay. Party With a Cause will be throwing its 2nd annual event poolside at the Backyard of the W in Westwood. Krol Vodka, Red Bull, Tequila 33 and Heineken will host an open bar. General admission tickets are $40 advance/$50 at the door. But if you want to rub elbows with VIPs and swish the red carpet it’ll cost you $100. However, VIPs get a gift bag valued at over $600!
