Katana has yummy, albeit super-pricey sushi and a chi-chi scene that’s so not my thing, but I must admit that this event sounds like a pretty cool way to spend summer Sunday evenings: the 5th Annual Red Sun BBQ Garden, which is the sushi restaurant’s hip summer patio party. The bbq shindig kicks off tomorrow night and will go on every Sunday through the hot season til Labor Day weekend. Knock back some Red Sun beer or split a scorpion bowl-size cocktail with a friend. KCRW dj Thomas Golubic will provide the tunes and you can keep your dancing energy up by snacking on special Robata barbecue.
