It’s that time of year again: L.A. Conservancy’s screenings of classic movies in classic movie theaters.
This year from May 31 to July 5, L.A.’s historic preservation organization will focus on L.A.-centric films in Broadway’s historic theatre district as an homage to our lovely City of Angels.
Movie Schedule:
May 31 — The Mark of Zorro at the Los Angeles Theatre
June 7 — A Star Is Born at the Orpheum Theatre
June 14 — Harold Lloyd Comedies — SOLD OUT_
_ June 21 — Chinatown at the Orpheum Theatre_
_ June 28 — Dos tipos de cuidado at the Los Angeles Theatre_
_ July 5 — Rebel Without a Cause at the Los Angeles Theatre
All performances are general seating with doors opening at 7pm and the show running through 10 or 11pm. Unfortunately food and drinks aren’t allowed in the Los Angeles Theatre. The site doesn’t say anything about the Orpheum though.
TICKETS: $15 for Conservancy members; $18 for general public; $20 at the door if an event isn’t sold out.
Download the order form and mail it in with your check or fax it to (213) 623-3909 or purchase your tickets on TicketWeb (includes a $4-ish surcharge though) asap as these events tend to sell out FAST. I’ve tried many years to go myself but always found out about these last-minute. Not this year!
