Serious vodka drinkers, can’t make it all the way to Sweden’s famous Absolut Ice Bar any time soon? You may want to check out Nic’s Restaurant & Martini Lounge (LA bucket list #43).
I’m not a big vodka drinker myself but this sounds interesting. The Beverly Hills martini lounge, home of the extensive and fanciful martini menu, recently invested in an icebox/locker–a climate-controlled, glass-walled vodka tasting room off to the side of the dining room–where eight patrons at a time can don fun fur to enjoy servings of caviar and tastings of more than 30 vodkas chilled in 10-degree air. Reservations are required for 25 minutes in the box.
It ain’t Jukkasjarvi but it’ll have to do.
