I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the Arclight is the best movie theater in all of La-la Land. It’s a church of film for those serious about movie watching. They won’t let slackers in after the previews start, ushers are on hand to show you to your seat or tell rude movie-goers to shush, they actually present the movie before it starts and even tell you to “enjoy your show.”

It’s where movie lovers go for the theater’s many different film series, 21+ nights, and an overall reverential movie watching experience. So at the risk of sounding like a commercial, it’s worth it to film worshippers to at least sign up to be a member.

Membership is free and you get all these benefits: discounted admission on certain movies; awarded points accumulated from amount of tickets bought can be used for gift certificates, etc.; advanced notice of films and events before the general public; and members-only invitations to private screenings, Q&As, and premieres.

My signing up gave me the heads-up for events that sold out as soon as tickets were available to the general public. HA ha!

But this month, Arclight members can earn a free two-for-the-price-of-one ticket to use in April. Just see a movie at the Arclight three times in March, giving your membership ID (they can look it up at the kiosks by your telephone number) and purchasing a ticket, and you will automatically have a “two-for” ticket* added to your membership account.
