Christmas shopping got you down? Not looking forward to spending yet another holiday with your family? (Wasn’t Thanksgiving just last week or something?) Sounds like you need a good laugh and a reason to fall in love with Christmas again. Enter John Waters to offer his unique take on the holidays.

Everyone’s talking about his Christmas show and I’m still not clear on what actually goes on but it sounds fun/funny. It’s his second year of doing this holiday “spectacular” and L.A. is part of a seven-city tour.

So perhaps it’s a lecture/stand-up sorta thing, sure to put the “ho” back in your ho-ho-ho, the “X” back in your Xmas, the “fun” back in “dysfunctional”…eh, you get the idea. And this year, Waters has an X-rated electro-punk rocker named Peaches “performing” with him.

Between the two, there’s going to be more raunch than Santa can handle, but that’s why it’s a tantalizing, unusual seasonal treat to begin with. Prudes need not apply, but, in true Waters fashion, they are always welcome.

There’s also an opportunity to have a meet and greet with the Pope of Trash (for an additional $35) before the show. Or you have to share him with the audience during the post-show Q&A.
